Alumni and Donors
Alumni and donors are key stakeholders for the college and as such are a critical link for building awareness of the college with other stakeholders in our region. They provide financial support and linkages that advance the work of the college and ensure that programs and services are current to meet the needs of the greater community.

The Hennepin Technical College Foundation
The purpose of the Hennepin Technical College Foundation is to enhance and promote Hennepin Technical College in its mission of providing excellence in technical education. The Foundation, led by local business leaders, is charged with expanding relationships and securing funds to help financially challenged students complete their technical education and to help the college fulfill its mission. Founded several years ago, the Foundation has focused its efforts on raising money for scholarships. Scholarship awards have more than doubled in only a year due to the Foundation's success in fundraising.
The Foundation, a Partner in Student Success
While some of the students qualify for federal and state financial aid, tragically, many students and prospective students do not qualify and too often choose not to enroll in college, because they can't afford it. The college must rely on the generosity of individuals and businesses to provide badly needed financial support for its students. Providing students the ability to pursue an education is a smart investment. Students' lives are changed and enriched, businesses have a larger pool of skilled employees from which to choose, and the community benefits from having a well-educated citizenry. Most importantly, private philanthropy allows Hennepin Technical College to serve greater numbers of deserving students who might not otherwise be able to prepare for a career.
