Is Online Learning Right for You?

Online learning is a positive experience for most students. You’ll be most successful if you’re knowledgeable about online learning before taking a course.

Top 10 Considerations for Online Learning

Other Issues:
  • You should make sure you conduct a System Check. The D2L log in page has a system check or click this link: System Check
  • Just because your computer gets a clean bill of health from the System Check does not mean you`re guaranteed not to have problems.
  • AOL`s browser is inconsistent and might cause problems. But, starting IE after connecting through AOL usually works.
  • Popup blocks could conceivably interfere with hints in a D2L quiz.
  • Some ISPs (Internet Service Providers) cause problems. These are tough to track down, but often involve their cache and security policies.
The solution when unexpected problems come up is to try the course on one of our campus computers. If it works in our student general access labs but not on your home computer, the problem is with the home computer configuration.
