Engineering CAD Technology
|
Engineering CAD Technicians are specialists in translating the rough sketches, layouts, and written specifications of the engineer or designer into a drawing showing the complete details and specifications for the finished product. For nearly every type of fabricated product from a space capsule to an electric iron, or a television set to a bridge, a design technician is needed to detail the entire project and its parts. Strength calculations, product reliability, computer aided design (CAD) and specification, and costs of materials may also be the responsibilities of persons trained in this occupation. |
