The Business and Industry Community of HTC

Hennepin Technical College builds cooperative relationships and partnerships with other educational institutions, business, and industry to help position HTC graduates to compete in a global marketplace. These business and industry connections help make HTC one of the leaders in education for employment.

Advisory Committees
The purpose of advisory committees is to promote partnerships between career and technical education, business, labor and the communities they serve. Advisory committee members provide input on program structure, curriculum, technology and student preparation.

Partnerships
Intermediate District 287 serves high school students from 13 partner high schools by offering college-level courses that are designed to jump start a student’s career. Students can earn high school as well as college credit.

Minnesota Center for Engineering & Manufacturing Excellence
In a unique collaboration, Minnesota's higher education leaders in engineering and manufacturing form the Center for Engineering and Manufacturing Excellence. Together with industry, seven Minnesota State Colleges and Universities work cooperatively to educate, facilitate student internships, and secure opportunities for applied research and customized training which will position Minnesota industry for competition in a global market.

State and Community Organizations
Hennepin Technical College partners with state and local agencies to provide career information and employment opportunities for students.
