Category: Manufacturing and Engineering TechnologyProgram Description
Are you interested in the way things move? Hennepin Tech takes that curiosity and puts it to work!
Fluid power is the technology of generating and controlling the power of pumped or compressed fluid, either as a liquid (hydraulics) or air (pneumatics) to push, pull, rotate, regulate, or drive mechanisms of modern industry.
At Hennepin Tech, you will get the hands-on training that prepares you for success in this engineering-related career field. Throughout this program, students “learn by doing”, working with hand tools and machinery to evaluate and adjust systems for maximum efficiency.
As a Fluid Power Technician, your skills are in high demand in a variety of industries including: advanced manufacturing, aerospace, agriculture, heavy equipment, transportation, mining, retail industries and many others.
The opportunities for career advancement have never been more exciting. With the need to develop more sources of sustainable energy, researchers are looking at Fluid Power in new ways and the industry is changing at a rapid pace.
Are you interested in a four-year degree? Hennepin Tech graduates are elegible for an easy transfer pathway to earn an Applied Engineering degree.
