Hennepin Technical College provides online and distance learning opportunities to students in Minnesota and, through its participation in NC-SARA, to students located in other states. The College maintains policies and disclosures that support the quality and integrity of distance education, including Regular and Substantive Interaction (RSI) and information about state authorization and professional licensure requirements.
Regular and Substantive Interaction (RSI): HTC has established college-wide expectations for Regular and Substantive Interaction (RSI) to promote meaningful, instructor-initiated engagement and high-quality learning in online courses.
State Authorization and Professional Licensure: Students who participate in distance education while located outside Minnesota may be subject to the laws and professional licensure requirements of the state where they reside. HTC’s state authorization and professional licensure disclosures provide information about NC-SARA, student location, relocation, and the requirements associated with programs that lead to professional licensure or certification.
