Among those recognized by MCPA were Jessica Lauritsen, Interim Dean of Students and Jean Maierhofer, Chief Diversity Officer.  Ms. Lauritsen received the coveted Lud Spolyar Distinguished Service Award, the association’s most prestigious award, which recognizes a current or past MCPA member for outstanding service to MCPA, the student affairs profession or in representing Minnesota at the national level.  In addition, Ms. Maierhofer was selected for the Voice of Inclusion Award, which honors initiatives or individuals who serve Minnesota Higher Education by creating exemplary environments of inclusion for students, employees and/or institutions.  These recipients should also exhibit an ongoing commitment towards advancing multiculturalism, bringing typically underrepresented voices and identities to the forefront of Minnesota Higher Education.

MCPA serves the Minnesota Higher Education Community.  Since its inception in 1969, MCPA has been a resource for networking, professional development and an advocacy for professionals in higher education throughout the state of Minnesota.
