Hennepin Technical College (HTC) is honoring more than 250 students with its annual Student Academic and Leadership recognition.

“I congratulate this outstanding group of students who demonstrate a commitment to our campus through their student leadership, academic achievement or advancement in career and technical education,” said Dr. Merrill Irving Jr., president HTC. “Each student deserves our gratitude for enhancing the student-centric environment on campus.”

The Student Academic and Leadership recognition is a celebration of the hard work and dedication of the following student groups: Student Senate leaders, club leaders, SkillsUSA medalists, Crystal Pillar nominees, Student Experience Team leaders, leadership series participants, and Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society inductees.

The Hennepin Technical College (HTC) Student Life & Career Development Department provides opportunities for student growth and leadership development through more than 25 student clubs and organizations. Students volunteer to lead these groups to provide meaningful programs that supplement the educational process by offering educational, social, and cultural, activities and events for the general student body.

Among the leadership roles, the Student Experience Team is a group of select student leaders who are dedicated to positively representing HTC as peer mentors, representatives at outreach efforts, assistants in the planning and execution of Student Life and Career Development events and activities.
