Hennepin Technical College Faculty Linda Paquette Earns Award

Brooklyn Park, December 13, 2021 – The Minnesota Association for Career and Technical Administrators ( MACTA) honored Linda Paquette with the Outstanding Educator Award on November 2, 2021.

Paquette has been a faculty member at Hennepin Technical College (HTC) for 20 years in the Information Technology program.

MACTA presents the award to distinguished educators who have demonstrated innovation in the classroom, commitment to their students, and dedication to the improvement of career and technical education at their institutions and in their communities.

Paquette has championed connections between HTC and local high schools in the programming, information technology, and administrative support career pathways.

Recently, she worked to increase the number of articulated college credit agreements in the College High School Partnership (CHSP), a group of high schools in Minneapolis and surrounding suburbs. During her work with CHSP, Paquette demonstrated extraordinary dedication to ensuring that college credits could be offered to students in high school career and technical education programs.

In addition, she has been a tireless advocate for new IT initiatives for high school programs and an active advisory committee member for several high schools IT programs in the Twin Cities.
