Hennepin Tech Plant Sale scheduled for May 11,12,13

Brooklyn Park, April 7, 2023 – The annual Plant Sale at Hennepin Technical College (Hennepin Tech) takes place May 11, 12, and 13 from 9am-8pm on the Brooklyn Park campus.

The sale takes place prior to Mother’s Day and many customers enjoy selecting gifts for mom. Hennepin Tech students grow the plants and prepare a wide variety of products for sale. Whether customers are cultivating acres of vegetables or growing a patio container garden, the sale offers several categories of plants and flowers to choose from.

Products include:

Hanging baskets for sun and shade
Hundreds of varieties of tomatoes, hot and sweet peppers, vegetables
Houseplants, succulents, annuals
Mother’s Day planters, fairy gardens and herb gardens
Pollinator-friendly plants and Minnesota native plants

Easy In-Person Purchasing

Cash, checks and major credit cards accepted
Shop in time for Mother's Day (Mother's Day is Sunday, May 14)

Proceeds support scholarships and benefit the college’s Landscape, Horticulture, Greenhouse, and Urban Forestry program. NOTE: For customers who plan to visit the sale on May 11, please be advised that the morning of the first day of the Plant Sale, there are typically large crowds. For those who prefer to avoid lines, we advise shopping later in the day or visiting on May 12 and 13.
