Executive Breakfast - Event Summary

On Tuesday, October 18th, 2016 we welcomed over 150 business and community leaders to Hennepin Technical College for an Executive Breakfast and round-table discussion at our Brooklyn Park Campus.

Hosted by our college president, Dr. Merrill Irving, and catered by HTC Culinary Arts students, the event featured Tim O’Neill, from the MN Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) speaking on the topic of economic and workforce trends in Minnesota.  Dr. Yolanda Levell-Williams, Vice President of Workforce Education also gave an overview of the valuable training and services provided by the Customized Training Services division within the college.

Round Table and Tours

Following the presentations, a round table discussion was held, focusing on the following discussion topics:

  1. How could the College (HTC) partner with your organization to meet your workforce and training needs?
  2. What is the best way for the College (HTC) to engage with you, your company, and your industry?
  3. What opportunities exist for your business that HTC can assist with?

Afterwards, HTC Deans gave attendees HTC tours of  Manufacturing, Culinary & Business,  Healthcare, Construction/HVAC/Automotive and the Safety Training Mobile Unit.


Raffle Prize Results:

Congratulations to our two Raffle winners, Lane Rutherford (Bachman's) and Adeel Ahmed (City of Brooklyn Park). Each won a gift certificate for 2.0 hours of Customized Training Services training, in either Leadership or Workplace Safety Training.
