The conference will include 2 days of education and training for community paramedicine professionals.  The conference will showcase expert speakers, relevant topics and educational break-out sessions aimed at promoting and supporting this fast growing profession.

Hennepin Technical College is the first Minnesota college certified by the EMS Regulatory Board, and worked directly with the Minnesota legislature and the MN Ambulance Association to pass the first Community Paramedic Certification Law in the country.

A Rural Community Paramedic Perspective

About: Jana was born and raised in Granite Falls, Minnesota.  She lived in South Minneapo-lis for two years and quickly realized she needed to return home to begin her career in rural healthcare.  She has worked in EMS for nearly 20 years.  Even though she has had numerous roles as a Registered Nurse, her passion has always been EMS.  She is currently the Ambulance Director at Granite Falls Health-Ambulance Service, where she leads a team of 40 RN’s, Paramedics, EMT’s and EMR’s. She is also an educator teaching ACLS, PALS, EMT, EMR and CPR courses.
