Free Tutoring Options for HTC Students

Below you will find FREE tutoring options available to HTC students.

HTC Online Tutoring

Students can connect with professional tutors to ask general questions about any HTC coursework, submit writing for feedback, and ask specific homework questions.

Submit an Online Tutoring Request.  You will receive a response within 24 hours on business days to connect with a tutor.  Our online tutoring service is easy to use and can be accessed on any device that connects to the internet.

Include the Course Number and Section of the course you need help with in your request.

Students taking HTC courses can access up to 15 hours of free tutoring per year with Log in to D2L and look for the button.  This service is available 24/7.

Supplemental Instruction

Supplemental Instruction (SI) Leaders are current HTC students selected by faculty to provide free academic support through peer-assisted study sessions to reinforce course content.  The SI Leader sits in on the class and provides small group study sessions after class or during labs.  Ask your instructor if there is an SI Leader available for your class.


Khan Academy

Khan Academy is one of many online resources for students.  Khan offers practice exercises, instructional videos, and a personalized learning dashboard that empowers learners to study at their own pace.

Minnesota State System Office

System Office ASA, ITS, and Minnesota State Info Hub are working together to extend the capacity of campuses and provide resources and support for students who are transitioning from in-person to virtual delivery of their courses. Here are the ongoing and new student resources available.
