WELCOME TO MAAC

About MAAC

Do you possess current manufacturing skills? Are you looking to obtain a manufacturing certificate to advance your career?

Hennepin Tech plans to set up five manufacturing assessment and advancement centers, (MAAC)  which will streamline the process of earning a manufacturing certificate which gives you credit for current technical skills, such as welding.

MAAC lab Each location will have virtual assessment tools and will serve machinists, welders and those in the field of robotics.Virtual assessment tools will include desktop welding simulators and small scale machine-shop tools. The portable tools will help staff to assess skills quickly and accurately by watching students perform skills.

In addition to assessment services, the centers will be developing curriculum to allow the students to complete the lecture portion of classes online. The centers are expected to benefit students at all different skill levels, along with military veterans - many of whom have manufacturing skills and simply need a way to get credit for them.
