Our Testing Centers Are Open!
HTC Testing Services at both Brooklyn Park and Eden Prairie is open to provide limited testing services. At the current time, our services are only available to Hennepin Technical College students only.
Available Testing Services
ALL on-campus test proctor services require scheduled appointments. Due to occupancy limits designed to observe social distancing, we CANNOT accept walk-in/drop-by placement or makeup exam testers regardless of course/exam deadlines.

We comply with all health and safety guidelines and recommendations from the MN Department of Health, CDC, and OSHA.
Off-Campus/Remote Proctored Testing Options
- Examity (Off-Campus/Remote)
- Keyboarding Placement Testing via Zoom (Off-Campus/Remote)
- Computer Literacy/Proficiency Skills Testing via Zoom (Off-Campus/Remote)
We are not currently administering the following tests:
- CLEP exams
- Commercial Exams (Real Estate, Insurance, Licensure, etc.)
- College or University Exams (placement or otherwise) for other institutions (Minnesota State institutions included)
Option 1: On-Campus Placement Testing
You can register for on-campus testing by clicking the link below. WE ARE ONLY ADMINISTERING EXAMS TO HENNEPIN TECHNICAL COLLEGE STUDENTS WITH SCHEDULED TEST APPOINTMENTS.
Unfortunately, we are not able to administer placement exams to students from other institutions with ACCUPLACER vouchers.
You are required to present a valid photo ID both at the time of check-in and upon request at any point during exam completion! No one will be permitted to test without a scheduled appointment and a valid photo ID.
Option 2: Off-Campus/Remote Proctored PLACEMENT TESTING via Examity
If you are not comfortable coming to the campus to complete your placement testing, you can complete your placement test from your home, office, or other quiet space using Examity, a FREE 24/7 remote proctor testing service.
Off-Campus/Remote Proctored Placement Test Process
Step 1:
Submit a Placement Test Voucher Request HERE. Not everyone will need to complete placement testing therefore, we strongly encourage you to meet first with a Student Success Advisor to create a Placement Test Plan tailored and considerate of your previously completed coursework, test scores, and earned grade point average (high school or college).
Step 2:
Once your request has been reviewed (please allow 2-3 business days from the date of submission), you will receive an email from College Board/ACCUPLACER containing your placement test voucher code. Use this voucher code to schedule and take your exam.
Step 3:
Click the Examity link shown in the email; it will take you to the Examity registration page. Enter your first name, last name, email address and then click Register.
Step 4:
One you have registered, you will receive a confirmation email from Examity with personalized login credentials. You will then log into the Examity dashboard. From there, set up a profile and schedule your exam using the voucher code provided.
Off-Campus/Remote Proctored PLACEMENT TESTING via Zoom
Computer Skills Proficiency & Keyboarding Test ONLY
Any student, who is unable to visit a campus Testing Center to complete the Computer Skills Proficiency (CSP) placement test, has the option to test remotely using Zoom. To schedule an appointment and/or learn more about remote testing requirements, please click the button below.

- Provide and promote a College and community service by offering computer-based and/or paper-pencil test and proctor services
- Provide and maintain testing facilities that are aesthetically-pleasing, clean, quiet, and secure
