About the Foundation

Hennepin Technical College Foundation, Inc. (The Foundation) plays an essential role in the growth of the college. The Foundation was incorporated on October 12,1998, and received its 501(c)(3) non-profit status in 1999. While The Foundation is a separate entity from the College, its sole purpose is to support and advance the work of the College in providing resources that support career and technical education for employment and advancement in an ever-changing global environment.

Funded through contributions from alumni, faculty and staff, community members, and partner organizations, the The Foundation awarded grants and scholarship totaling more than $400,000 during the 2021/2022 academic year including Workforce Development Scholarships, made possible by the Minnesota State Legislature.

Mission, Vision, Values

Hennepin Technical College Foundation’s mission is to provide resources that support career and technical education for employment and advancement in an ever-changing global environment.

The Foundation’s vision is to ensure Hennepin Technical College has the resources needed to help every student learn, thrive and succeed and to create a prosperous community for all.

The Foundation's values are:
