Hennepin Technical College is pleased to announce it has received a $20,000 grant from Eaton Corporation. These funds will increase access and affordability of post-secondary education by providing scholarships to students enrolled in the Fluid Power program, one of the fastest growing technical industries today.

Enrollment in Hennepin Technical College’s Fluid Power program continues to be strong. Scholarships for students in this program assist in expanding the skilled workforce for organizations like Eaton Corporation while helping to ensure that graduates complete their education and are ready to confidently begin their careers.

Eaton is a power management company with 2015 sales of $20.9 billion. Eaton provides energy-efficient solutions that help their customers effectively manage electrical, hydraulic and mechanical power more efficiently, safely and sustainably. Eaton has approximately 97,000 employees and sells products to customers in more than 175 countries.

Hennepin Technical College is the largest technical college in Minnesota. HTC serves over 20,000 credit and non-credit students annually and offers more than 50 career and technical programs on two campuses in the suburban Minneapolis cities of Brooklyn Park and Eden Prairie, Minnesota. The college's students have one of the lowest achievement gaps in the state of Minnesota and the success of the college’s mission is demonstrated by a job placement rate of 98 percent.
