Course DescriptionIn this course the student will learn about drills, drill sharpeners, drill presses, bandsaws, pedestal grinders, sandblasters, oxy-acetylene MIG and Arc welding, and lubrication. Students will build a project from a blueprint. This course also includes the basics of machinery maintenance, lubrication and the use of the machinist's handbook plus equipment manufacturer's catalogs to specify machine components. This course will cover the characteristics of hazardous wastes and its safe handling, storage, and disposal.
