Course Description

This course explores well-child care, and pediatric health issues. Pregnancy, labor and delivery, prenatal and post partum care are discussed. The importance of family centered care is emphasized.

Plan care of a client experiencing complications of pregnancy
Interpret medical terms associated with labor and delivery
Explain postpartum care of the new mother

Integrate cultural considerations of family centered care
