Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Fellowship Criteria

Award Amount: $3,000 per fellow (1 student at Eden Prairie and 1 student at Brooklyn Park)

  • Student must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits and have completed at least 12 credits;
  • Student must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 at the College;
  • Student must be a benefit-eligible veteran (honorably discharged per DD Form 214) or active Reservist or National Guard Member with deployed active duty status;
  • Student must complete an approved project that promotes supervision and management skills, including being held accountable for money.  While leadership skill development is preferred, it is not mandatory to receive this fellowship;
  • Award may be used for tuition or other related educational expenses (text books, tools, software, conferences/workshops, housing, transportation, daycare etc.).  The student is required to submit a mid-term expense report to the DAV and the College.; and
  • Student will be required to present his/her fellowship project before the general body of the DAV.
  • Student is required to attend fall general body meeting
