About the Computer Labs
The Student Computer Lab is a great place for you to complete your assignments, check email, or just surf the Internet. Staff and work-study students are available to assist you. During peak hours, students completing coursework have priority over other computer users.

Student Coursework
HTC students are expected to be familiar with the software for their classes while working in the Student Computer Lab. The Student Computer Lab staff is not responsible for knowing all software in the computer lab. If students have a specific problem with software use or assignments, they should discuss it with their instructor or obtain assistance in one of the Tutoring Centers

The Learning Resource Center (LRC), Math Center or Writing Center at each campus are available to assist with tutoring. See “Tutoring - Centers For Student Achievement” for room locations, hours and additional information.

Student Email Accounts
Hennepin Technical College provides a "" e-mail account to all HTC students. To set up an email account, please visit the Student Computer Lab or go to MYHENNEPINTECH - HOME. If you have questions, please visit the Student Computer Lab, or call 763-488-2429.

StarID Accounts
StarID is a single username login for D2L, eServices, and other services used by HTC students and employees. If you would like to set up a StarID account, please see a lab assistant in the Student Computer Lab or go to StarID Self Service to set up your account and for additional information. To have your password reset, you may visit the Student Computer Lab, with your Student ID Card, or use one of the options on the HTC StarID webpage.

Student printing and copying
HTC is now using GoPrint. Every week $1.20 is placed in your StarID account for printing and copying. Black and White printing or copies cost 2¢ per page, per side for an 8.5 x11 page. Color printing or copies cost 10¢ per page, per side for an 8.5" x 11" page. You may also put personal money (paper money only) into your StarID account through a reverse ATM (located in the Student Computer Lab) for additional printing or copying.

You can access your StarID account for printing in the Student Computer Lab, Library, Learning Commons and Learning Resource Center at either campus.
