Program Description

Are you ready to build a career in architectural drafting and design technology? Then come to Hennepin Tech where state-of-the-art computer stations and industry-standard software tools prepare you for the workplace.

You will be ready to produce residential and commercial construction drawings using Computer Aided Design (CAD), Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology, and 3D rendering. Focus on energy efficiency and sustainability while learning to understand and verify construction compliance procedures and how to research construction materials, equipment, and building codes. Be introduced to engineering principles, estimating, and professional practices.

Since an advisory committee of industry leaders reviews Hennepin Tech’s Architectural Technology program, the program is up-to-date with the latest technology and trends. This ensures you will gain the skills you need to secure employment.
