Three HTC students named to All-Minnesota Academic Team
Brooklyn Park, April 24, 2020 – Congratulations to Hennepin Technical College (HTC) students, Maimouna Cissoko, Talish Kumar, and Gideon Webber-Peterson, who have been named to the All-Minnesota Academic Team by Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), the honors society for two-year colleges.
A select group of students from across the state are chosen each year for the All-Minnesota Academic Team in recognition of those who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement, leadership, and community service. Membership requirements in Phi Theta Kappa include a 3.5 minimum GPA.
Maimouna Cissoko helps to promote diversity and inclusion on campus as a member of BREA, Blacks Rising in Education and Academics. She works as an accounts payable intern at a major employer in the northwest suburbs of the Twin Cities. She says the internship is a valuable opportunity for her to improve her accounting skill set. Her career goal is to work as a senior accountant. |
