Hennepin Technical College Culinary Arts program featured in CCX Media
Brooklyn Park, November 22, 2019 – Hennepin Technical College (HTC) Culinary Program gets creative with cakes!
HTC culinary students take baking and pastry courses that equip them to be well rounded food service professionals.
During a recent visit by CCX News, HTC students showcased their baking skills. One baker made a Star Wars cake for a six-year-old boy’s birthday, using fondant icing to make R2-D2.
“You need to be creative. This is like, art. It’s merging art with baking. That’s pretty much what it is because, at the end of it, you produce a work of art,” said student Buwky Okulaja.
To order a cake, contact Hennepin Technical College and ask for the culinary department.
