Navigating Cascade | Cascade CMS Training

In this section, we will look at an overview of Cascade's Interface.

To navigate to the correct site within the Cascade Dashboard, look for the SITE menu item in the top left corner of the page. Click this and select HennepinTech - this is the live website.

Cascade uses file based routing to structure the website: this just means that the names of folders & pages dictate the pages URL. For example the file located at academic-programs/index will be available at hennepintech.edu/academic-programs/index.html  when published.

Access is controlled on a page by page basis, so while you will be able to see all pages that make up the website, you will only be able to edit the pages which you have write permission on

Use the sidebar to navigate into folders and open up pages. If you select a page, a preview will open within the Cascade Dashboard
