LABS AND CLASSROOMS
The printing program is based entirely on "hands on" training with instructors from industry. Our two primary labs represent the two major areas of the printing industry. Our press/bindery lab is sponsored by Heidelberg, one of the world's largest
equipment manufacturers. In the current economy the press/bindery areas offer the most employment. Students can complete a certificate and be ready to work in about 1 semester (16 credits). Our prepress and variable data computer is totally state of the art. All equipment is new and all software is current. It is setup and runs the same software as industry does. Prepress literally means getting a customers job ready for press. It's a full 72 credit AAS degree.
SUPPLIES/TOOLS
Few books and supplies are required. Please see the individual courses for supply and book discriptions.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Printing companies are looking not only for skilled people, but attitude and a willingness to be a team player are also important.
