Physics Department

Physics looks at the ever-changing world around us and studies the relationship between matter and energy. From the nano-worlds of the micro-cosmos to the largest galaxies, Physics is always measuring, observing, and experimenting to better understand the universe we live in.

We see the principles of physics everywhere we look in our modern world:

  • energy exploration,
  • robotics,
  • medical imaging,
  • computers,
  • architecture,
  • automotive engineering.

Studying physics will help you develop skills to solve real-world problems and to appreciate how the universe works.

Hennepin Tech’s Physics Department serves a wide variety of students seeking careers in engineering, hydraulics, automotive, health care, as well as students who are seeking to transfer to a university.
