HENNEPIN TECHNICAL COLLEGE CHOSEN BY MINNESOTA BOARD OF FIREFIGHTER TRAINING AND EDUCATION TO PROVIDE INSTRUCTOR TRAINING
Hennepin Technical College (HTC) has been chosen by the Minnesota Board of Firefighter Training and Education to develop the training curriculum for live burn instructors throughout the state of Minnesota. Live burn training allows firefighters to experience and train for dangerous events in a managed environment.
“This program demonstrates the critical importance the Minnesota Board of Firefighter Training and Education places on firefighter safety both on-the-the job and in a training environment,” said Joe Mulford, dean of HTC’s Customized Training Services. “We’re excited to be recognized as the organization that reflects this approach and can assist them in sharing it with others as we have for over 30 years.”
Through its fire protection program, HTC’s Customized Training Services has provided training for fire departments in the metro area and throughout the upper Midwest.
