Purpose

This form documents the annual review of one selected Concurrent Enrollment assessment completed by the HTC Faculty Liaison in collaboration with the Concurrent Enrollment High School Instructor to ensure alignment with the approved HTC course learning outcomes, assessment expectations, and academic rigor.

The selected assessment should represent a significant learning experience within the course and provide evidence that Concurrent Enrollment students complete the same assessment and are evaluated using the same college-level expectations as students enrolled in the approved HTC course.

The completed review provides evidence that the selected assessment:

• Aligns with approved HTC course learning outcomes.
• Measures student achievement of college-level learning.
• Reflects appropriate academic rigor and expectations.
• Uses the same assessment expectations, criteria, and evaluation practices as the approved HTC course.

Review Process and Instructions

One completed Assessment Alignment Review is required annually for each Concurrent Enrollment course and each Faculty Liaison–High School Instructor pairing.

The Faculty Liaison and High School Instructor will collaboratively select one significant assessment from the approved HTC course that is also implemented in the Concurrent Enrollment course.

The review process includes:

1. Select the Assessment
   Select one significant assessment that represents important course learning outcomes and is used in both the HTC course and the Concurrent Enrollment course.
2. Review Assessment Alignment
   Review the selected assessment in relation to approved HTC course learning outcomes, assessment expectations, grading criteria, and academic rigor.
3. Discuss Assessment Alignment
   Discuss how the assessment measures student learning, supports college-level expectations, and maintains alignment with the approved HTC course.
4. Document Revisions or Follow-Up Actions
   Document any identified differences, revisions, or follow-up actions necessary to maintain course alignment.
5. Submit Required Evidence
   Upload required evidence and submit the completed Assessment Alignment Review by the stated deadline.

The Faculty Liaison verifies that the selected assessment aligns with approved HTC course learning outcomes, knowledge, skills, competencies, and assessment expectations.

• The selected assessment measures one or more approved HTC course learning outcomes and provides students an opportunity to demonstrate achievement of intended learning objectives.
• The assessment aligns with the knowledge, skills, and competencies emphasized in the HTC course.
• The same assessment is used in both the HTC course and Concurrent Enrollment course.

College-Level Expectations and Academic Rigor

The Faculty Liaison verifies that the selected assessment reflects appropriate college-level expectations, academic rigor, and evaluation standards.

• The assessment requires students to demonstrate appropriate knowledge, application, analysis, problem-solving, or skill development.
• The assessment reflects a level of challenge and academic rigor consistent with HTC course expectations.
• The assessment represents a meaningful component of course evaluation, and the percentage of the overall course grade assigned is consistent between the HTC course and Concurrent Enrollment course.

The Faculty Liaison and Concurrent Enrollment High School Instructor reviewed the selected assessment and discussed alignment with the approved HTC course.

• The selected assessment was reviewed in collaboration with the Concurrent Enrollment High School Instructor.

• The assessment was reviewed for alignment with HTC course learning outcomes, college-level expectations, academic rigor, and evaluation practices.
• Any identified revisions or follow-up actions have been documented.
• Required evidence has been uploaded.
• A completed copy of this submission will be shared with the High School Instructor.
