High School Instructor Agreement Form

Agreement Requirements

One agreement is required per course and faculty liaison–high school instructor pairing each academic year.

While this form allows for the entry of multiple Faculty Liaison and High School Instructor pairings, each pairing will be treated as a separate agreement. The instructions, terms, and conditions outlined in this form apply equally to each individual pairing. The agreement presented at the end of this form also applies to each pairing individually.

This agreement documents the shared responsibilities of the High School Instructor in supporting course alignment, instructional collaboration, and the quality of the Concurrent Enrollment experience.

Compliance Requirements

This agreement supports alignment with National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (NACEP) accreditation standards and Minnesota State Concurrent Enrollment guidelines.

Required documentation and activities should be completed according to HTC Concurrent Enrollment Program timelines and NACEP requirements.

High School Instructor Responsibilities

The High School Instructor agrees to:

• Complete and sign the High School Instructor Agreement annually.
• Complete required documentation and participate in required Concurrent Enrollment partnership activities in collaboration with the Faculty Liaison, including:
  • Syllabus Alignment Review.
  • Paired Assessment Review.
  • Discipline-Specific Professional Development, including required documentation, discussion, and application of professional learning.
  • Faculty Liaison Site Visit(s) and completion of required documentation (NACEP F4).
• Actively work toward required concurrent enrollment instructor credentials, if not already credentialed.

Shared Responsibilities

The Faculty Liaison and High School Instructor agree to collaborate to:

• Complete the Syllabus Alignment Review prior to course approval (NACEP C1, C2, S3).
• Complete the Paired Assessment Review as required (NACEP A1).
• Participate in Faculty Liaison Site Visit(s) as required by NACEP and the Concurrent Enrollment Program (NACEP F4).

Faculty Liaison Site Visit(s) include joint participation by the Faculty Liaison and High School Instructor, discussion of course alignment, instructional practices, opportunities for improvement, completion of required documentation, and required signatures.

Program Responsibilities

Before the Course Starts

The High School Instructor will:

• Complete required Concurrent Enrollment documentation and attend required Concurrent Enrollment training.
• Collaborate with the Faculty Liaison to support course alignment, including review of:
  • HTC course expectations.
  • Course learning outcomes.
  • Course materials.
  • Assessment expectations.
• Support student onboarding by assisting students with completion of HTC admissions, registration, and required enrollment forms.
• Support student prerequisite eligibility processes by assisting with next steps including placement testing and prerequisite appeal processes, as needed.

During the Course

The High School Instructor will:

• Teach the Concurrent Enrollment course according to HTC course expectations, approved learning outcomes, and college-level academic standards.
• Verify class rosters and communicate enrollment changes with the Concurrent Enrollment Coordinator.
• Understand and adhere to HTC registration, drop, withdrawal, and grading deadlines, including providing required documentation or timely responses to support student enrollment changes as needed.
• Facilitate completion of electronic student course evaluations distributed by the Concurrent Enrollment Coordinator during the final two to three weeks of the course.
• Maintain ongoing professional communication and collaboration with the assigned Faculty Liaison throughout the academic year, including timely communication within three (3) business days whenever possible.

After the Course Ends

The High School Instructor will:

• Submit recommended final grades to the Faculty Liaison within three (3) business days of course completion for entry into HTC eServices.
• Meet with the Faculty Liaison to review:
  • Course outcomes.
  • Student performance.
  • Student feedback/evaluation results.
  • Opportunities for continuous improvement and future course offerings.

Acknowledgment & Agreement

I agree to fulfill the responsibilities outlined previously, including participation in required NACEP activities and HTC Concurrent Enrollment processes.

I will collaborate with the assigned Faculty Liaison throughout the academic year to support course quality, consistency, and alignment with Minnesota State Concurrent Enrollment requirements and NACEP accreditation standards, including:

• Course alignment (NACEP C1, C2, S3).
• Assessment alignment (NACEP A1).
• Discipline-Specific Professional Development (NACEP F3).
• Faculty collaboration through Site Visits (NACEP F4).

I understand that when multiple Faculty Liaison–High School Instructor pairings are entered on this form, each pairing is considered a separate agreement. I acknowledge that all responsibilities, requirements, timelines, documentation, and NACEP-related activities apply equally, independently, and fully to each individual pairing identified in this submission.

I understand that continued participation as a Concurrent Enrollment High School Instructor requires completion of these responsibilities. Failure to meet these expectations may result in review, development of a corrective action plan, or reconsideration of eligibility to teach the Concurrent Enrollment course, in consultation with the Concurrent Enrollment Program and Academic Dean.
