Minnesota State is committed to ensuring welcoming and supportive campus environments. Inclusiveness is embraced through the Strategic Framework, in board policy, in our systemwide equity and inclusion goals, and it is a part of our core institutional values. A Guide to Supporting Safe and Inclusive Campus Climates was created by the Minnesota State Equity & Inclusion Office in collaboration with bargaining units and other key stakeholders as a resource to guide conversations around campus climate.
A Guide to Supporting Safe and Inclusive Campus Climates includes:

Free Legal Clinics
Volunteer Lawyers Network - Brooklyn Park
The Brooklyn Legal Clinic provides brief legal advice and services in most civil (non-criminal) areas of law, including immigration. Consultations with a lawyer are private and confidential. Services provided in English, Spanish, and French.

Community Action Partnership of Hennepin County (CAP-HC)
CAP-HC holds the Legal Service Clinics at locations throughout Hennepin County to allow residents more localized access to service. The Clinics offer low-income clients the opportunity to speak with a volunteer attorney about legal questions and receive advice about how to resolve them. CAP-HC Legal Service Clinics provide brief legal advice in the following areas: family law, bankruptcy, consumer debt, divorce/custody, employment, housing, and immigration. Spanish speakers are available on-site at all CAP-HC Legal Service Clinics; other languages can be available upon request.

Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota (ILCM)
ILCM is a nonprofit agency that provides immigration legal assistance to low-income immigrants and refugees in Minnesota. ILCM also works to educate Minnesota communities and professionals about immigration matters, and advocates for state and federal policies which respect the universal human rights of immigrants.

NAVIGATE MN
NAVIGATE is a leadership development program for immigrant young adults in Minnesota facing financial, social and legal barriers to achieve their dreams through changing unjust systems. Through NAVIGATE, these young adults help their community and themselves by working to access college education, jobs, and legal status.
