Scholarships are a great way to help pay for college. The Hennepin Technical College Foundation offers scholarships for fall and spring semesters.

  • HTC Foundation Scholarships
    Types of scholarships available are need-based, merit-based, and program-specific. Online scholarship application deadline is October 25, 2019 at 11:00 p.m.

  • Workforce Development Scholarships
    Scholarships are awarded to new students pursing an Associates Degree, Diploma, or Certificate in high-demand fields of Manufacturing and Engineering, Healthcare, and Information Technology. Scholarships awarded Fall 2019 semester and Spring 2020 semester

Scholarships from Community Partners

It's also smart to look for additional scholarships outside of the college or Foundation. Look to local community organizations, like your local Chamber of Commerce, or to professional organizations in the field you are entering. They may offer scholarships to help students in their community or profession.

  • LeadMN Scholarship

LeadMN represents the 180,000 two-year college students in Minnesota to help them transform their lives and their communities. Our students LeadMN by developing leadership skills to realize their potential, see beyond what they thought was possible for personal success, and to drive community-wide change.

LeadMN has two scholarship deadlines: November 1 and April 1.  Visit the LeadMN website for more information and to apply.

  • Twin Cities Adult Education Alliance (TCAEA) Scholarship

    TCAEA is an association that addresses educational needs of working adults. It serves as an educational resource to the Twin Cities corporate community, as well as the community at large, by providing increased awareness of accredited, business-related higher education opportunities for working adults.

    TCAEA's scholarship deadline for spring semester is January 3, 2020. Visit the TCAEA website for more information and to apply.

  •  Minnesota Association of Counselors of Color (MnACC) Student of Color Scholarship

    MnACC is excited to provide scholarships for students of color who are in pursuit of higher education. Students who are awarded this scholarship will receive a one-time award ranging between $500 to $2,500 to be used towards their education during the 2019-2020 academic year.
