This program prepares you to create professional-quality animations and motion graphics used in films, TV shows, video games, commercials, and online content. You’ll gain hands-on experience developing 2D and 3D animated assets while learning how to convey mood, emotion, character, and story. With a strong focus on industry-standard software and production workflows, you’ll build the technical and creative skills needed to succeed in animation and motion graphics roles.
Through practical training and real-world projects, you’ll graduate with a professional portfolio that meets industry standards. Students must demonstrate computer proficiency by passing the Macintosh or Windows evaluation before enrolling in program technical courses.

Animators and motion graphic artists are needed to work on video games, movie and television special effects, and interactive media. They are also needed to work on 3D animated movies. In addition, growth will occur due to an increasing need for computer graphics in the growing number of mobile technologies. Occupational titles include animator, motion graphics artist, special effects designer, effects artists, digital artist, media designer, media artist, 3D designer, 3D artist, 3D animator, and concept artist.
