Co-Curricular Outcomes

Co-Curricular Learning Outcomes are defined as the knowledge, skills, and abilities students should learn in experiences outside of the classroom. As a result of consultation, collaborative meetings, and research on best practices, Hennepin Technical College adopted the following co-curricular learning outcomes.

Co-curricular learning outcomes define what students will know or be able to do as a result of interacting with a co-curricular program at Hennepin Technical College.

Co-Curricular Learning Outcomes align to Higher Learning Commission (HLC) Criterion 3.C. and 4.B.
HLC defines co-curricular as, “learning activities, programs and experiences that reinforce the institution’s mission and values and complement the formal curriculum. Examples: Study abroad, student-faculty research experiences, service learning, professional clubs and organizations, athletics, honor societies, career services, etc.”
