COVID-19 Vaccine clinic 11/10 EPC & 11/11 BPC 3-6pm

Vaccine Clinic Information

Hennepin Technical College (HTC) is hosting a COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic for our students, faculty, staff and the community at both the Eden Prairie and Brooklyn Park campuses. The vaccine clinic will occur during the Rock the Registration campus event. There is no cost to receive the vaccination; health insurance is not required nor will health insurance information be collected.

The vaccine clinic is sponsored by the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) and their partners, including Black Nurses Rock. The vaccines available are Moderna and Pfizer. First and second dose vaccines are available to everyone and booster shots will be available to those who are eligible per MDH eligibility requirements. Children ages 12-17 can also be vaccinated at this site with parental consent (see details below).

Incentives are Available for Everyone

• Every adult who receives a shot will receive $50.00 on-site.
• Children ages 12-17 will receive $50 on-site and will also receive a $250 gift card mailed to them. They are also entered to win a scholarship valued at $100,000 or different incentives, including a Minnesota Experience prize package. Parental consent will be required, but a parent does not need to be physically present to consent. A parent will be able to give consent over the phone, as long as an adult over the age of 18 is accompanying the 12 to 17-year-old.

In order to be eligible, Minnesotans 12-17 must receive their first dose between October 18 and November 9 and receive their second dose by November 30.

Minnesotans must be:

• at least 12 years old at the time of one or both shots
• and 17 or younger at the time of their first shot.

• If you bring another person to the event and they are vaccinated at the event, you will receive $25 for a referral. Parents who bring their children are eligible to receive the $25 referral if the child gets vaccinated.
• These funds are made available by MDH and their partner programs.
• Children ages 5 to 11 will not be served at this vaccine event.

Prize Drawing for the Hennepin Tech Community

Every HTC student, faculty, or staff person who receives a shot will be entered into a prize drawing. Two prizes will be awarded:

1. $500.00 Visa prepaid gift card and
2. $250.00 HTC Campus Bookstore gift card

Each campus will have a separate drawing. To be eligible for the drawing you must receive a shot and provide information on the Drawing Sign Up Sheet (Name, StarID, and signature). Winners will be contacted via their HennepinTech.Edu email address to arrange a time to pick up their prize. The funds for the drawing are made available from federal stimulus institional funds.

Event Details

On the day of the vaccination clinic, you will complete and sign the required documentation including a vaccine consent and privacy notification form. Registration requires you to provide your name, gender, date of birth, and an email address and telephone number for confirmation purposes only. No address or other information is collected or needed for the vaccination. Following the vaccine, you will be required to wait for 15-30 minutes before you may leave the campus.
