High school students from across the West Metro gathered at the Eden Prairie Hennepin Technical College campus to learn more about Nursing and Dental careers during the Men Who Care event.

Participating students from Wayzata, Osseo, and Eden Prairie high schools were given the opportunity to experience the Hennepin Tech Dental Assisting and Practical Nursing labs, visit with dental specialty clinics, tour the campus, and participate in a student and alumni panel discussion.

Men Who Care is a subset of the Be Bold, Break the Mold program. Be Bold, Break the Mold is a program that focuses on support and mentorship for students pursuing non-traditional career pathways. Men Who Care focuses on mentorship and support for men pursuing traditionally female-dominated careers in dental, nursing, teaching, and child care.

Both gender equity programs actively seek business and community partners looking to provide mentorship and job shadowing opportunities for students.
