Plumbing Pre-Apprenticeship

Category: Architecture, HVAC and Construction

Program Description

Gain the skills you need for a high-earning, in-demand trade that is flush with possibilities. Train for a career in Plumbing at Hennepin Tech!

The Plumbing Pre-Apprenticeship program at Hennepin Technical College prepares students to start a career as a plumber or pipefitter with a plumbing contractor. In this program, students learn important technical skills such as safety procedures, plumbing codes, using tools, reading blueprints, and installing plumbing systems.

Being a plumber has many benefits. It's a job with steady demand, so you'll always have work. Plus, as you gain experience, you can earn a good income. The work itself is varied and interesting, offering plenty of challenges to keep you engaged.

One of the best parts of being a plumber is the freedom it gives you. Many plumbers are self-employed, so they can set their own schedules and choose the jobs they want. Plumbers work in various positions, including master plumber, commercial plumber, and estimator. And there's something satisfying about using your hands to fix things and solve problems.

But perhaps the most rewarding part of being a plumber is knowing that you're making a difference in your community. Plumbers help keep people healthy by ensuring clean water and functioning plumbing systems. Whether it's fixing a leaky faucet or installing new pipes, plumbers play a vital role in improving people's lives.
