High salaries for graduates help Hennepin Technical College earn top national rankings

Brooklyn Park, June 12, 2020 – Five programs at Hennepin Technical College (HTC) are among the best in the nation, according to the 2020 Best Colleges list from GradReports. The rankings are based on graduates’ salaries and college debt. The list helps prospective students answer the question, “What can I expect to earn if I graduate from a particular school with a particular major?”

Top 25 Best Associate Degrees for Information Technology
HTC’s Information Technology ranks No. 2 nationwide with a median salary of $47,000

Top 25 Best Certificate Programs for Heating, Ventilation, Cooling and Refrigeration (HVAC-R)
HTC’s HVAC-R ranks No. 3 nationwide with a median salary of $48,400

Top 25 Best Associate Degrees for Accounting
HTC’s Accounting ranks No. 4 nationwide with a median salary of $37,500

Top 25 Best Associate Degrees for Culinary Arts
HTC’s Culinary Arts ranks No. 12 nationwide with a median salary of $27,300

Top 25 Best Associate Degrees for Automotive Technology
HTC’s Automotive Technology ranks No. 13 nationwide with a median salary of $41,100

Using salary and debt rates reported by the U.S. Department of Education, Grad Reports found that HTC graduates had among the highest median annual salaries one year after graduation while finishing among the lowest for median debt loads.
